This OIS-Volume includes the research papers presented at the conference of the German Orient Institute in Beirut and its office in Cairo, which was held in Alexandria in cooperation with the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University, in December 2022. This is the second conference of a series of conferences organised by the Cairo office entitled Discussing Interdependencies. 
The book is divided into two chapters. The first chapter discusses the interdependence of religion, religiosity, and society from a religious or theological perspective, and the second chapter discusses the environmental impact, i.e. societal impact, on religiosity, its forms and problems, and on the understanding of religion among religious people.
